If you want a down home atmosphere and fantastic food at a great price, this is the place. They have a smoker on site that puts Weavers a notch above the 5 or 6 pizza places in Mountain Top. Friendly servers and a good bar staff make this place worth the trip

Went for my birthday last year so this is not that current. The ribs were meat lacking and dry. Very quiet when i was there. Knew it was a local fave but did not live up to the hype. No beer on tap.

Went to Charlie Weaver's last night. Everything was excellent from the service to the warm rolls to my French onion soup. Very large menu selection it's a little off the beaten path but well worth the drive very cozy atmosphere. After hearing about this place we decided to try it and it was well worth the trip we plan on coming back with others!!!!!!

We've tried this restaurant twice and were very disappointed each time. In a resort area, if you're going to charge resort prices, the product and service should match. Charlie Weaver's Restaurant & Bar offers mediocre food and service at resort prices. Their wait staff is not very well trained and not very attentive. They ask how things are without stopping for you to reply. The owners should consider training their staff on customer service skills and working together as a team. Their kitchen staff does not how to grill steaks. On the first visit we ordered filet mignons medium rare and they came out medium at the rarest. The second visit was the night of their "Two Can Dine for $19.99" where we ordered the ranch steak medium rare. One of them came out very medium well and the other was well done. Their chicken parmesan special did not come with a second side like their other dishes did. The chicken breast was small and looked like a normal chicken breast serving cut in half. There was way too much cheese that was melted way beyond the chicken to nearly burnt from the grill. The linguine was not well drained and there was very little sauce. This would have been a much better dish if served on a plate rather than a bowl and a smaller portion of pasta to allow for some sort of vegetable. The salads are good; however, the staff tends to drench them in dressing. Ask for your salad dressing on the side. The fresh-cut french fries were very good when they were hot. When we had the fries on the second visit, they arrived to the table cold. At these prices you would be better off driving a little farther to Hazelton or Wilkes-Barre.

WOW! Tonight was out first time here for dinner. From the moment we walked in we felt welcome. Our waitress was Betty, she was great! The food was amazing, and the service was top notch. We can't wait to come back and bring some friends!

We decided to try the Southern Style Smoke House Specialties. The staff was so friendly. We felt as if we were visiting family. They have good prices. They have a great menu variety & awesome portion sizes. The beef brisket was delicious. We ended up taking some home and enjoyed it as sandwiches for lunch. We will be back to try the chicken and barbecue beef short ribs.

Charming little place. Good food and very nice portion sizes. I had their pork chop special and one of these was enough but it came with two. The service was nice, food came out in a fair amount of time and the place was crowded no less. Our server was very friendly and did a very nice job with our table of four adults and three kids. There's not many places to choose from up here, so we're keeping this on our short list for future trips. Their prices were very fair too. Most entrees are in the $18 to $22 range.

I have been here a couple times with the folks. They like this place and use it as a go to considering the limited dining options in / around White Haven. I consider this place average, probably because the experiences I have had are a mix of good and bad. Let's start with the good. Prices, service, portions and desert. The chocolate cake and ice cream is well worth it. The ribs are great. Slow cooked and tender. The bbq sauce, similar to a smokey sweet KC style, adds a great depth to the meat. The portion is huge and even tastes great the day after. Also great is the beef short rib. This thing looks like a dinosaur bone. Very tender and tasty. On to the ok. The brisket. On the dry side. The au jus was nothing notable. I think the problem was that the meat was cut too soon after cooking. The bad. The beer can chicken tasted funky, similar to what chicken tastes like after it has been frozen too long. It was cooked ok and the bbq sauce was decent but it did nothing to help the dish. Also on the bad list. The dinner rolls. Sides. No draft beer if that sort of thing matters to you. Remember it is wacky PA where it is easier to get a case of beer than a keg or six pack.

This place is popular with locals and it got a good review on Yelp, but my family and I were pretty disappointed. The restaurant is rustic and quaint and it was packed when we entered on a Wednesday night so our hopes were high. The service was fine. The food, however, was mediocre. I ordered a platter of barbecued brisket and ribs. Both were tender enough, but not particularly smoky. Had I not asked for barbecue sauce, the ribs would have been pretty tasteless. The cole slaw was okay, but tasted like it might have come from the supermarket. The fries were fresh cut, but undercooked. My daughter ordered a burger, which came cold. One son had a steak and another barbecue and both were underwhelmed. My wife had a salmon dish with pasta that she thought was pretty good. The wine list is very pedestrian and our red wine was about 80 degrees when served. There are no beers on tap, surprising for a barbecue place. And by local standards it is not cheap.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
